Convict and novelist. Tucker was transported to New South Wales in 1827 and worked at Sydney, Campbelltown, Windsor, Emu Plains and Port Macquarie. It is believed that Tucker, using the pseudonym Giacamo di Rosenberg, was the author of "Ralph Rashleigh", and under the pseudonym Otto von Rosenberg, wrote the plays 'Jemmy Green in Australia' and 'The Grahame's vengeance'. Colin Roderick was an Australian author, educator, and editor, and a major influence on 20th century Australian literary affairs, perhaps best known for his books about Australian literature. Born in 1911 in Queensland, he served as editor and later director of the publishing house Angus & Robertson, 1945-1965, and Professor of English at James Cook University, 1965-1976.
